Battle of the Bands 2024
Showcasing exceptional talent at The Stables MK
One of our annual events for students across Bedfordshire is Battle of the Bands which we held in the Spring. What a fantastic night of young people playing incredible music! Dave Probert, who has been the compere for all of these events, noted that he had never seen such a level of talent throughout the evening.
Students from all over Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire took the stage at The Stables to compete for two prizes from our fantastic sponsors: a Kawai keyboard worth over £500 and a day in Marshall Studios, a top-notch recording studio operated by our sponsors, Marshall.
The day was filled with joy and friendship building, with the event holders praising the kindness and politeness of all the young participants. They were true ambassadors for their schools and should be immensely proud of themselves.
Congratulations to our winners
The performances were incredible, with the highest number of original songs we have seen at this event. The quality made it incredibly hard to choose a winner, but Redborne’s Greensands stood out with their second-place finish, narrowly beaten by the wonderful WKTD (What Killed the Dinosaurs?), who won the day in the recording studio.
